The MIWLA recognizes outstanding K-16 world language educators and supportive administrators each year at its annual conference. The organization offers grants for student/new teachers to attend the conference and new in 2007 for first-time conference presenters. MIWLA members can award Outstanding Student awards in their local schools with certificates provided by the MIWLA.
